Uridge, Euridge website update 21 October 2018

The Uridge, Euridge website was updated today Sunday 21 October 2018. 

25 new narratives have been added, and 55 existing narratives changed, since 1 January 2018. There is a total of 2,905 detailed narratives available on the website. However, overall in the URIDGE, EURIDGE database there is a total of 4,156 (29 new) people, including living people.

These changes relate to the following surnames:

EURIDGE, URIDGE, and 

BOND, BRAMHAM, BRAVERY, CAVEY, COX, CRISPIN, DORLAND, EASTWOOD, ELLIS, HAFFENDEN, JEFF, JORDAN, KEEN, NOBLE, REES, SCRASE, VEASEY, WALDER, WATSON, WELLAND, WHISTLER, WOND, and YEOMANS.

This update has been a long-time coming. This year had been extremely technically challenging. I experienced significant problems as the website host (for over 10 years) was taken over, and the new host took a long time to transfer the files across. 

Furthermore, simultaneously, I had major problems with the Windows 10 update, and lost all the data. Fortunately, I have a lot of backups and managed to overcome the initial issues. Then in June, another Windows 10 update to rectify the problems with the previous update, completely destroyed the computer. I then had to purchase a new computer and again reinstate all the files. Fortunately, everything is finally back to normal.
